Actually, many of the hundreds of sayings and cliches attributed to Benjamin Franklin were actually just collected quotes from his days as publisher of the Farmer’s Almanac.

But none the less, his contribution into the tales of old wives ever since has been significant. Who has never heard the old wives tale (attributed to Mr Franklin)…

Early to bed,
early to rise,
makes a man
healthy, wealthy, and wise.

Of course, in Ben’s day, there were no all night Walmarts or convenient stores to work at, but the point is well made.

Sometimes it is simply the simple things that can make all the difference in the world. Ever heard the saying ‘baked with love’?

I’d be hard pressed to exactly describe how my Mother baked those oatmeal cookies ‘with love‘, but I sure could tell the difference.
